FULL INTERIOR CONCEPT
In one of Malmö's office buildings with connections to the shipyard era in Västra Hamnen, Skandia Fastigheter is housed. They had an empty space on the ground floor that they wanted to do something with and decided to create a shared space for all tenants to both meet and have meetings in.
Since both the building and the area have strong connections to the former shipyard, we, as interior architects, chose to play with the history. The space received a complete makeover and Skandia Fastigheter chose to go all in, resulting in a fantastic outcome.
The blue color was quickly chosen for the space, and to complement this, we selected a calm base with beige tones, genuine materials like wood, and added black accents and a red tone in the small meeting room. Best of all, if we may say so ourselves, is the wood paneling that brings life to the space and the opening towards the corridor with large "shop windows" which gives an inviting feel. The modern, industrial feel seems to have been well received by the tenants, fulfilling all our hopes for the space's purpose. Go Varvet!
